I have a thing for bright yellow flowers. These are called Sunfire Coreopsis and I think they make a lovely addition to my flowerbed.
Technical Notes: Nikon D700, Nikkor 50mm f/1.4G, ISO 200, f/1.6, 1/2000, Auto White Balance, Matrix Metering. In editing I cropped and applied a preset called NY Times Magazine. It basically punches all of the colors up a bit and in my opinion, makes this photograph look a bit more like a painting.
